Trade Mark Treat of the day: DONALD DUCK
Some lighter news. While there is some confusion surrounding his birth date, it appears that most observers agree that today, 9 June 2009, marks Donald Duck's 75 birthday. Reason enough to have a look at the UK trade mark register, where we can find five DONALD DUCK trade marks. The oldest are UK Trade Mark registrations Nos. 652931 (device below) and 652932 both covering class 32 and both already filed in October 1946. The oldest Community trade mark for DONALD DUCK, 2828341, was filed in 2002. A further Community trade mark application, 5240271, has been pending since 2006.
