A new Trade Mark Act for Greece?
Class46 has just been informed that the legislative committee set up to review and amend the existing Greek Trade Mark Act (Act No.2239/1994) has finished its work and submitted to the officials of the Greek Ministry of Development its draft for a new Trade Mark Act. The draft is said to strengthen the rights of trade mark owners in cases of infringement (with EC Directive 2004/48 in mind) and include noteworthy changes as regards the criminal aspects of the current law. No further details have been made publicly available yet, but Class 46 hopes to enjoy a sneak preview of the proposed new law and inform its readers, within the next few days.
