Latest information on Madrid Protocol documents
WIPO has published Information Notice No 52/2020 on the Madrid Protocol. It concerns measures concerning certified documents and extracts services and states:
The International Bureau of WIPO wishes to inform that it will send by postal mail print certified copies of certificates of international registration and renewal, attestations and detailed certified extracts requested between March 31 and July 12, 2020. Further, since July 13, 2020, the International Bureau of WIPO has resumed legalization of documents and expedited services.
In addition, since July 13, 2020, the International Bureau of WIPO delivers certified copies of certificates of international registration and renewal, attestations and simple as well as detailed certified extracts by electronic means only, as portable document format (PDF) files. The International Bureau of WIPO will send by postal mail print copies of the above-mentioned documents upon express request only. The International Bureau of WIPO will continue to send all legalized documents by postal mail.
