Zurich to host next coexistence agreement workshop
In a little less than a month, the next MARQUES coexistence agreement workshop takes place. The basic data is this:
Coexistence Agreement Workshop
Wednesday, 5th February, 2014
Meyerlustenberger Lachenal, Forchstrasse 452, 8702 Zollikon, Zurich

For those of you are are still fatigued by your end-of-year festivities and find it too much of a strain to click a mouse, Class 46 takes pleasure in bringing you details of the programme which features, among other star performers, our very own Mark Schweizer.  In full, the programme looks like this:

Programme:
15.30 hrs
Registration of Participants
16.00 hrs
 Opening:
Peter Wild, Wild Schynyder AG - Zürich, Chair MARQUES Programming Team
16.10 hrs
 Part 1:
Overview of specific legal issues that arise in connection with prior rights agreements

Moderators
Mark Schweizer, Meyerlustenberger Lachenal - Zürich
Barbara K. Müller, Meyerlustenberger Lachenal - Zürich

Registrants will be introduced to a case study involving a US corporation that proposes to extend its commercial operations into Europe and a long-established German business that is contemplating further development of its brand into related areas of trade
17.00 hrs
 Coffee Break
17.30 hrs
 Part 2:
Registrants will be divided into teams which will be briefed with instructions to achieve a Prior Rights Agreement

After the teams have sought to draft the heads of an Agreement , each team will be invited to comment on the issues raised by the case study. There will then be a brief presentation of a sample solution by the Moderators
18.30 hrs
Summary and close of workshop, followed by drinks

The registration fee for this event is a miserly 25 euro -- a sum for which very few of life's pleasures may be purchased to which the joys of a MARQUES coexistence agreement can be compared [please note: the verb in the earlier part of this sentence comes at the end, which is a subtle allusion to the fact that the event is to be conducted solely and exclusively in the German language].

Online registration can be achieved by clicking here.
