(DPMA):
In a recent press release the DPMA reports on a slight increase of trade mark filings at DPMA to about 65000 for 2013 (see here, in German).
The English language version of the DPMA's annual report for 2012 can be accessed here. As usual it is well worth a look.
The DPMA now (as of 12 November 2013) also offers a new and updated electronic filing system which no longer requires a signature (details can be found here, in German).
Finally, the DPMA reminds its users that the 10th edition of the Nice Classification will come into force on 1 January 2014 (see here, in German).
