New: Expert talk with Serbian trade mark judges
|
The first MARQUES Judges Meeting in Serbia will take place on 31 May 2018. It will be held at the Intellectual Property Office in Belgrade, starting at 09.15
|
There will be five sessions looking at different aspects of trade mark law and practice, followed by a round table discussion. Speakers will include judges, professors, members of the IP Office and trade mark-specialist lawyers. Among those taking part are: - Dr. Dragica Popesku, Judge, Appellate Court in Belgrade
- Dr. Vesna Dabetić-Trogrlić, Judge, Appellate Commercial Court
- Dr. Dušan Popović, Professor, University of Belgrade Faculty of Law
The Meeting will be opened by MARQUES Chair Gregor Versondert and Vladimir Maric, Director of the Intellectual Property Office. Topics to be discussed include requirements for filing a trade mark infringement suit; determination of trade mark infringement; cases on goods in transit and parallel imports; preliminary measures; and decision making at the Bureau. The Meeting will be conducted in Serbian and the registration fee is €75 (MARQUES members) or €95 (non-members).
