German Judges Meeting in October


The next Meet the Judges event will take place in Munich on Friday 27th October, and will feature judges representing the Federal Supreme Court, Federal Patent Court, Munich Court of Appeal and district courts


The meeting, which will be conducted in German, is being held in association with the German Patent and Trade Mark Office and Markenverband – the German Brand Association.

Among the judges taking part are:

  • Prof Dr Dr hc Joachim Bornkamm (Former Presiding Judge at the Federal Supreme Court)
  • Prof Dr Franz Hacker (Presiding Judge at the Federal Patent Court)
  • Lars Meinhardt (Presiding Judge at the District Court, Munich)
  • Konrad Retzer (Presiding Judge at the Court of Appeal, Munich)
  • Dieter Kehl (Former Presiding Judge at the District Court, Cologne)
  • Dr Mark Lerach (Judge at the District Court, Cologne).

MARQUES will be represented by Dr Uwe Over; the German PTO by Barbara Preißner, Head of the Trade Mark Department; and the German Brand Association by Dr Alexander Dröge, Head of Legal Department.
