The study covers IP rights intensive industries and economic performance in the EU. It is the third industry study to be carried out by the European Observatory on Infringements of IP Rights and the European Patent Office and updates the research published in 2013. In particular, there is new data on Croatia and on plant varieties. The report finds that the contribution of IP-intensive industries to the European economy has grown since the first study. There is also a new chapter on the economic importance of climate change mitigation technologies. You can read more about all the studies on the Observatory’s dedicated website.
