WIPO is hosting a Madrid System Seminar at its headquarters in Geneva on 18th and 19th June.

The Madrid System website was updated in May, as part of a longer term project to ensure it meets the information and transactional requirements of users.

The first phase of the project concentrated on refining top-level navigation and messaging. Key changes include better navigation, with clearer paths to information and e-services: tools and resources are grouped according to the lifecycle of a mark (search, file, monitor, manage) as well as new and revised pages, such as benefits, how the System works, FAQs and What Users Say. WIPO says the next step in the development of the website will be the creation of a new database of member procedures. The Madrid System website is http://www.wipo.int/madrid/en/
