European Commission launches SME Fund   Madrid System forms updated

All EU SMEs can apply for co-financing for certain services under the new Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund, which will provide up to €20 million in grants for IP services this year

 

WIPO has published Information Notice No 1/2021 on Updated Official Forms under the Madrid System and New Accompanying Notes for Filing

Supported by the Commission and the EUIPO, the Fund is aimed at businesses that wish to develop their IP strategies and protect their IP rights at national, regional or EU level.

Grants available are: 75% off IP pre-diagnostic services offered by national IP offices and 50% off basic application fees for trade marks and designs at national, regional and EU level.

Online applications opened on 11 January and there will be five windows during the year. The maximum grant is €1500 per beneficiary.
