After careful analysis of industry dynamics, MARQUES Council decided in 2002 to commit to the evolution of the MARQUES organisation, by offering its members the chance to get involved in operations as well as the chance to influence the direction of the organisation itself. The main rationale behind that decision was that in a very fast moving and evolving industry one should adopt a living organism approach that can react to industry and member needs.

In practice that means that people from different backgrounds but with matching interests and levels of knowledge should get together and form teams with focused interests.  Team members should be people that are passionate about an issue, able to contribute and to take matters one step further.
