Arnold & Siedsma

Michiel studied law at the University of Amsterdam. He has an excellent reputation in the field of trademark and patent cases. He has conducted major national and international IP proceedings and has been involved as a lawyer in well-known trademark law cases. In addition to his litigation work, he gives advice on intellectual property matters and is involved in the drafting of contracts. Michiel is an expert in the IP domain who, thanks to his pragmatic and determined approach, is able to obtain the best results for his clients from a case. He is an active member of INTA and MARQUES and is the Benelux correspondent for The Trademark Reporter and one of the founders of

Sami is a member of the Finnish IP practice group of Roschier. He graduated from the University of Helsinki and is a member of the Finnish Bar. His practice covers the full range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, with particular emphasis on trademark and copyright law. He is regularly involved in complex IP litigation, representing major international and domestic clients. He was recently a member of the official working group to review and update the Finnish Trademarks Act. Prior to joining Roschier, Sami worked several years at the European Commission and the Finnish government

Sarah is a French-qualified lawyer as well as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. She holds a Certificate in Intellectual Property (trade marks, designs and models) from the Centre Robert Schumann of the University of Strasbourg. Sarah specials in intellectual property dealing with all the aspects involved in the creation, exploitation and protection of intellectual property rights and is responsible for the trade mark filing service in Paris. Sarah also deals with data protection and advertising matters.

Piotr is a Counsel and Head of the IP/TMT practice in the Warsaw office of Bird & Bird. Piotr supports clients in developing and implementing comprehensive strategies for the protection of intellectual property, and IP rights management. He also advises clients in business transactions related to transfer and acquisition of IP rights as well as unfair competition matters. His particular focus is on pharmaceutical, FMCG, food and telecommunications sectors. He is a lecturer at Hugo Grotius IP Centre in Warsaw and the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.

Dámaso is the Partner in charge of the Intellectual Property Group. He became a lawyer in 1985, and in 1990, obtained a master degree in IP at The University of New Hampshire, formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center in the USA. He worked in the Latin American Bureau of WIPO from 1993 to 1994. His main areas of practice are trade mark, advertising law, and patent prosecution and litigation. He is a member of the enforcement committee of INTA, and the Argentine member of the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance (GALA). He has written many articles and has been a speaker in seminars.

Simone studied law in the Netherlands and graduated from University of Groningen in 1995. After having worked for 4,5 years in private practice (NautaDutilh Amsterdam, IP and M&A), she became Global Trade Mark Counsel at Unilever. In 2008 she moved to the Benelux Legal Department where she became responsible for trade marks and Marketing Law for the Unilever Foods & Refreshment products. In September 2013 she became the Global Legal Counsel Spreads, Dressings & Savoury. Simone represents Unilever in various associations, BMM, Marques, FNLI and is a regular speaker at conferences and Universities. She speaks English, French and Spanish

Felix is Partner and has almost 20 years of experience as an attorney and is currently the head of Grette's IPR department. He works within this legal area with emphasis on trademark, patent, design and copyright law, as well as adjacent areas such as marketing law. He provides both regulatory and contractual advice to clients within his practise areas. He is also a lecturer and a regular instructor of the course "Rights to Design" organised by the Norwegian Design Council and for courses organised by the Center for Continuing Legal Education.
