OHIM draft guidelines published
|
OHIM has published the draft Guidelines of Work Package 1 online for consultation until 13th September.
|
The new Guidelines will eventually be available in all EU languages and are intended to be an aid for OHIM staff and IP professionals. They will replace the previous Manuals and Guidelines.
The draft Guidelines are now available in English, and translations in French, German, Italian and Spanish will be added soon.
Comments on the Guidelines can be made using OHIM’s online feedback form or by sending an email to GuidelinesFeedback@oami.europa.eu. The deadline for sending comments is 13th September.
If you do not to use the form, OHIM requests that you specify which part (and, if relevant, which section and chapter) of the draft Guidelines your comments relate to, which language version of the draft you are referring to and on whose behalf you are filing the comments.
Following the consultation, the Guidelines are expected to be submitted to the OHIM Administrative Board for approval in November this year. Once adopted, they will enter into force on 1st January 2014.
