The Portuguese Council of Ministers has decided today that the Portuguese Intellectual Property court will be installed in Lisbon (the capital), dismissing the former plans to install the same in Santarém.
Although we consider this to be a positive measure (we could not find a single positive point in the installation of the court in Santarém), it does not deal with the problems arising from the creation of a single court to handle all the intellectual property issues (see my earlier posts on the subject here and here).
On the other hand, the installation of this Court was predicted to occur in September 2011. Six months later, the location was changed, but we are still waiting for any real developments. Is the court going to be installed before the end of 2012?
