Slovakian cheese gets TSG treatment
Commission Regulation 930/2010 of 18 October 2010 entering a name in the register of traditional specialities guaranteed [Ovčí salašnícky údený syr (TSG)] confers protected legal status on the name "Ovčí salašnícky údený syr". This Slovakian cheese is made from raw sheep's milk. You can read the application for TSG status in full here. According to local tradition, it has been made in the region "since time immemorial".
