Three more PGIs for Europe

By Commission Regulation 417/2009, the Czech term Mariánskolázenské oplatky was recognised last week as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) in Class 2.4 (Bread, pastry, cakes, confectionery, biscuits and other baker’s wares). Commission Regulation 418/2009 had the same effect for the French term Petit Épeautre de Haute Provence in Class 1.6 (Fruit, vegetables and cereals, fresh or processed), and Commission Regulation 419/2009 granted PGI status to the French Kiwi de l’Adour, also in Class 1.6.
