GI amendment applications
 Two more applications for amendment of European geographical indicationss have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union. They are the Protected Geographical Indication PERA DELL'EMILIA ROMAGNA, an Italian pear for which the amendments relate largely to changes in the range of sugar content and the Protected Designation of Origin SABINA in respect of Italian oil: "new parameters have been added that were not included in the registered specification but which are essential for oil characterisation: the median for
‘fruitiness’ and the median for ‘defects’, the ‘peroxide number’ and the percentage of ‘oleic acid’".
