Spain - No summer vacations for the Police.
 Taking advantage of the presence of 60 million tourists in the Spain this last summer, counterfeiters have intensified the offer of fakes, specially in beach spots. And the Police Authorities have intensified their activities too, in their attempt to reduce the sale of illegal products.
The newsletter of Spanish practitioner Pau Miserachs reports the following noticeable anti-counterfeiting raids during this summer in Spain:
- July 30: 15,000 faked tracksuits of Spanish football teams in Montcada i Reixac and Igualada (Catalonia) . - August 11: 2,992 faked tracksuits of Spanish football teams in Mallorca (Balearic Islands) plus other 2,400 in San Bartolomé de Tirajana (Canary Islands). - August 20: 30,000 counterfeit garments of luxury brands in Maspalomas (Canary Islands). - September 1: 41,000 counterfeit garments of luxury brands in Badalona (Catalonia).
